Penthesilea.

Penthesilea was an Amazon Queen, precious daughter to Ares and Otrera. Her tragedy begins when, while hunting for deer, she accidentally kills her sister Hippolyta, and is so stricken with grief for her misdeed that she wishes to die. However, being from a proud race, she doesn’t wish to die in anything other than a battle. Thus, she leads the Amazons to war, offering her aid to Troy in the Trojan War.

Though bent in meeting an honorable death, nevertheless Penthesilea proved to be a fearsome and formidable foe to the Greeks. She met her demise at the hands of Achilles, who, upon seeing her dying form, got immediately struck by love and regret in which was probably the most short-lived romance in Greek myth. It is said she is the one daughter whom Ares mourned.
